Bachmann DCC 50ton loco going slow

Hi, do some trains naturally go slow due to style. I have a Bachmann DCC 50ton Dev loco on an on30 scale & can't get it to go any faster. I have done a factory reset on the trains board & i still have a 5 second to top speed + a very slow top speed. Any other trains i have are 3 times quicker if needed. Any suggestions.

Does this loco operate slowly in real life. Models of locos such as the Class 08 diesel shunter are geared to have a very low top speed.

Ah, i found a video & I found some more info & it seems to have a default DCC 5 step speed up to 28 = a scale 35mph. The video also showed it was certainly not a flying Scotsman.
