Connecting Roco 35900 Turntable to Peco TT Streamline

I have a Roco 35900 turntable which has code 70 track. My layout uses Peco Streamline code 55 track so I need to join the two together. I have managed to get the two rail heights absolutely level where they join, but my Peco rail joiners just won't do the job of connecting the tracks together. The turntable manual mentions a Tillig 83132 converter track section (image attached) but I believe this would connect the turntable to Tillig's advanced track system? Does anyone have any suggestions as to which joiners I might use? I guess I could solder them together but I'm trying to use that as a last option.

Could you just not use rail joiners, and pin the track into the correct position to prevent it moving?
If you need electrical continuity, a small piece of jumper wire could be soldered to the outside of the rail.

Thanks for your reply. I plan on pinning the track but my Peco TT rail joiners just won't go onto the turntable. I was thinking of getting some code 70 rail joiners which I imagine will fit the turntable, I could then crimp the other end onto the code 55 Peco track. I'm fairly new to this hobby so a bit in the dark.
