Checking in to say Hello
Yes, I am still kicking.
I took a few minutes to review British paleontology and my head is still spinning. From neolithic craftsmen to George Stephenson, the breadth and depth of British innovation is overwhelming. Speaking of being overwhelmed, I haven't turned a single wheel on Henley for some months now, as I have been scrambling madly to keep up demands of work, etc. But, reading this endless detective novel that is Britain is stirring me from hibernation. I still yearn to make a pilgrimage to York and every distant place I can find. I feel as though I should pack a shovel, for by sticking it into the good earth will Iturn up some extraordinary artifact.
I downsized Henley a bit, to make room for a 1960 Valiant in the garage, and I don't find myself missing the extra 32 square feet at all. In fact, one of the attractions of British model rail is the extraordinary ability to do so much in a smaller area. Additionally. point-to-point model railways are somewhat of a rarity in the United States, and the ingenious British plans continue to amaze me.
Well, that's all for now, from your American Cousin,

Like Chops I am still around.
Spent a little while in hospital.
Allowed home, but still being monitored. A nurse visiting twice a week.
At least I am home.

Re: Checking in to say Hello
Just as I was gearing up and pull the cover off Henley I got hammered with a pneumonia that has landed me in hospital for last two weeks. Poking my nose in to see how things are stirring.

That’s not good Chops, hope you are recovering. All the best.

Hi Chops
I know exactly how you feel sir, I had that back in December 2018 and thought it was just a common cold which I usually get around this time of year, how wrong I was. Luckily my bout of Pneumonia was only mild level but mine was made worse because I also had a severe chest infection aswell
By the time I was admitted to hospital on the 8th of December ( not realising how serious a condition I was in ), it turned out that had I not sought help when I did, I wouldn't have been writing this post now.
Fortunately I survived it as will you but I did a stupid thing by messing around with it thinking I had a cold and I wish you a speedy recovery.
