Detailing Heljan's 61xx

#1

Post by Pannier Tank »

I am on the last leg of the improvements I have been making to my Heljan 61xx.

Sound is fitted, I have removed the moulding lines from around the top sides of the boiler, added a crew, some Severn Mill plates, replaced the tank lifting mounts and rings with some Warren Sheppard items (and some 4mm brass rings) added fire irons and a bucket (held on by a crew made hook) and also added lamps.

Only things left to do now is paint and glue the Warren Sheppard tank filler caps and get her weathered.

Oh, Dr Beeching what have you done?
There once were lots of trains to catch, but soon there will be none!
