Evening everyone. Think I was a member here before but you know how things move on. Having lost my partner 3 years ago ( no sympathy required stuff happens ) I now have the chance of a reasonable size bedroon with my new partner (although I'll have to share it with her rabbits lol) I've got quite a bit old old hornby dublo stuff from my childhood . Would be quite interest in converting some of this to R/C but do think I'd get more in the space available with a smaller scale but given my eyesight N may be a bit too small. Have been interested to read about a possible resurgence of TT which would be ideal but don't want to get into something too limiting. For the record my interests historically are in GWR and SR specially the Bullied Pacific's. Not too worried about authenticity as an A4 would also be a must it might be on loan . Anyway just some thoughts and thanks for letting me join
Hello Nick. Due to a recent move to a bungalow I am going for TT:120 from Hornby, or at least I will be when product arrives and/or is released from the warehouse. I will be able to have two running lines and some sidings and a goods shed area. As yet I have to build the baseboard which will be 7’x3’. I have started a TT thread on here. I will put my intended layout on there in due course. Good luck with your decision making. Let us know how you are getting on. Welcome to the forum.R-
Welcome to the forum Nick - It's a great place with lots of help, information and fun. I too have a passion for Bulleid Pacifics, especially Merchant Navy Class. Lets us know how you get on. BB
Is that the old peco, or the new one. Tillig, is supposed to fit ok on old peco, and new Hornby, is Tillig by any other name. I have not seen the new peco, as have plenty of the old. Time will tell.
glad i aint bought none then. wont know about joining, till FS set comes. Have not ordered any track packs, as much prefer flexi. They are talking about February, for sets, due to wheel problems, according to my source, so Heather not best pleased, as she thought she had brought my present.
