Loksound v5 - setup

I’m in need of help.
I have fitted a Loksound v5 decoder to a Hornby 8F. It has a sound file from South West Digital.
Loco performance is excellent and the sounds are very good indeed. However there is an issue with the chuffs. More often than not there are no chuffs at all, just the sound of a loco simmering or coasting. Occasionally there are six chuffs as the loco pulls away then they cut out and return to the coasting sounds.
The manual has the ‘helpful’ instruction.....”Set up the motor load control CVs 51-55 (info sheet available to download).”

It may as well be written in Mandarin as far as this simple individual is concerned.
Can anyone shed any light on this or offer some values that will work?
