gear removal

hi its me agaln i have a west country / battle of britain which has a motor which is on its last legs and is in need of replacement i have sourced replacement and want to know if it is much of a job to replace the worm gear as the replacement comes without one regards bob

If you are looking to salvage the old gear to put on the new motor and it is brass then I would try a hot air gun on it with any luck it will just drop off. Install it while it is still hot by the time it is cool it will be a tight fit on the shaft.
PS handle the hot item with some pliers but be careful not to damage the teeth

Spare mandrels for different size shaft diameters. Replace the in-use mandrel as required, by screwing into the main Tee driver.

The thin mandrel was very soft and bent then broke off, so I had to drill the mandrel body out to take a hardened steel rod in lieu. The heavier mandrels haven't seen any use yet.
