A question for Brian L.

This is more out curiosity. Why do advocated soldering all bus wiring but when it comes to wiring point motors you use terminal blocks?

Best regards

Soldering should ensure 100% electrical and in the case of DCC, data transfer.
Terminal blocks are for pure ease of connection.
No other reason. :D

It also makes it easier to remove and replace a faulty point motor.

I use terminal blocks on all my track feeds... but the final wires are always soldered to the underside of the rails.

I solder to the track and to the bus wire. However, if I started again the would do as above. When you need to relay a section of track for some reason, as I have recently, it would make things easier.
