Hi
Assume this loco doesn't have a DCC socket already fitted - Its not DCC Ready.
A lot will depend on the type of motor fitted. A picture would help.
But generically....
Remove both wires from the motor and via in-line soldered joints connect one removed wire to the decoders red wire and the other removed wire to the decoders black wire. Cover the in-line joints with either PVC insulating tape or better is to use Heat Shrink tubing slid on before making the joint then moved over the joint once its cooled and shrunk down over the joints.
Solder the decoders Orange and Grey wires to the motor terminals where the original wires were removed from. Test on Programming track that its address can be changed to whatever is required. If loco runs opposite direction from that on the DCC system swap around the two motor wires, while you have the locos body off.
NOTE:-
You should once all the motor wring has been removed, test that there is no connections between the motor terminals and any wheels of the loco. If there is a connection it must be removed before proceeding.
