Bachmann power lead jack plug?

Does anyone happen to know a suitable replacement jack plug as used with the E-Z Command controller? I know you can buy a complete replacement connector and cable (36-611), but I would prefer to make up my own lead with colour coded wires. Just wondered if anyone had done this already?

AFAIK its a 3.5mm Stereo three pole Jack plug. Which poles Bachmann have used of the three available I do not know - Perhaps if its not moulded undo the original one to find out or alternatively use a multimeter to test which of the three poles are connected to the two wires.

Thanks for the link. The plug is moulded, so I will do a bit of probing. I was a bit suspicious as to why it was 'stereo' jack and wondered if there was something hidden inside to make it proprietary, but it is probably because they are standard jacks.

Could be Data A, Data B and Screen.
