Less expensive versions are also available if you search around.

Not something i require Rog, I have been soft soldering, silver soldering, brazing and welding Copper Ally, Stainless and carbon steel for 60yrs. My only problem is keeping the hands steady these days!!!!!
I am a Coppersmith by trade, we used to double weld 3/4" thick copper using oxy/acetylene torches!

A clever idea it would be interesting to see if you could splice a third wire into them? It would make it really easy for beginners to create a DCC bus.

The only problem I see is it uses a heat gun to carry out making the joint, I have yet to come across a heat gun that is powerful enough to melt good quality solder, it must be very low melting point "solder" otherwise the shrink tube would burn! To my mind it could be the Shrink tube that holds the joint together with a little help from some sort of low melting point solder paint. Not for me!

I went to order a set, then stopped mid order, due to storm. Received an email, from them, with a further 20% off, so went ahead with purchase. Delivery to france, is only, 6 euros, superb rate. On question of heat guns, i have 2. A black and decker, which is a tad feeble, and another from, i think, Machine mart, thats an animal. Gets really hot and comes with loads of attachments.
