This arrived earlier and I wanted to install today and the chap isn't available today to ask the question.
I need to know what the extra orange, black & white wires will be for.
I know white is for lights, black is for the left pick up / power and orange for the motor +, do I have to solder them in?
I had assumed this decoder would have been the same plug and play as a Class 68 sound decoder I recently fitted which didn't have extra wires.
Thank you

Without checking I suspect they are for a Stay Alive capacitor? Or possibly a Hall sensor? What make is the decoder?
Motor power, lighting control and any wheel pick up is all via the 21 pin and not wires.

I have a feeling those extra wires are for a stay alive capacitor. I believe some versions of Loksounds (i think it's Loksounds) need a special stay alive with two capacitors. Don't connect the wires to anything until you have the right wiring instructions.

Sorry yes should have mentioned that
Loksound v5
I downloaded the manual and they mention wires for a power pack or otherwise known as stay alive.

I think this gives me the answer, just confused me as the colour of wire used are normal for regular connections.
