I'm going to have two small crossing on my West Country branch line c. 1950/60. I have seen an article about using air dry clay to mould it exactly how and where you want it.
Anybody used this technique please and with what success?
Many thanks.

I have used DAS modelling clay to repair or fill bubbles in resin kits. It works well. It has the added advantage that if it goes hard in the packet, one can usually bring it back to life by soaking it in water.

Have a look through my 'Low Ghyll' and 'Shaddeholme' threads - I've used it for road crossings, harbours and engine yards.
