Train-Tech Sound Effect Capsules

Has anyone experience of using Train Tech Sound Effect Capsules?

In particular, do they function as advertised?
Does the built in motion sensor deliver appropriate sounds for speeds?
Are they really easy to fit to locomotives?
How long do the batteries last?

Generally speaking, they are rubbish. They don’t match the speed or movement of the loco.
