Gauge O DCC conversion

#1

Post by LC&DR »

I have a small collection of Dapol and Ixion gauge O locomotives (2 x 350hp DSL, 57xx 0-6-0PT, A1X 0-6-0T, Peckett 0-4-0ST Hudswell Clarke 0-6-0ST) which are currently analogue, but I am thinking about converting them to DCC. I already have a Gaugemaster DCC controller I bought for some Hornby DCC fitted locomotives, can I use this for Gauge O? Also can anyone recommend suitable DCC / Sound chips especially if these can be plugged into to the existing sockets?

Any information gratefully received.

The Gaugemaster control will be ok as long as you dont run to many locos at the same time, Dapol fit zimo sound decoders with legobiffoman sound files to the Terrier and 08, i think i may have a few left. :) And yes they just plug in and two solder joints for the speaker.
