Snow in Australia? Where? I am breathing a sigh of relief when today was wet and 27. Yesterday was 41 and that is not fun. I read some earlier comments re brilliant winter sunshine in the UK. Your sunshine is soft (when you get it) and quite enjoyable if the temperature is above 10 degrees. Here, the sun is fierce and you strive to reach shade. Although you still see on the beaches people sunbaking ????
Maybe I am getting too old

Well I have not been there but they advertise lots of skiing resorts so they must get some snow Brian
In their winter maybe John. Think it is a trite warm at present.
I just assumed the resorts must be up in the mountains of Victoria in the winter of course you dont go Skiing in Austria in the summer do you. My Uncle went to Aussie and they came back after few years my Auntie could not stand the heat in the summer. They were in Sydney and few years in Perth. I have never ventured that far my self. I only went to long distance places when the MOD was paying the fare.
If only there was enough hours in the day..................John
One of my neighbours got back from Aus. this afternoon, after three months over there - bet that was a shock to the system! I'm not sure whether John owns a pair of long trousers - he lives in shorts.
