Minus 8.5 over night, minus 6.3 at 7 o'clock this morning (according to my thermometer - probably not truly accurate) No sign of snow still and once again bright & sunny. :D Plus 1.8 degrees ATM.

You may have noticed that it was a bit stormy last night. Fortunately there was no damage done around here.
However, a couple of years ago I bought the memsahib a small temporary greenhouse (I know how to show a girl a good time :D ).
This morning the frame is still standing but the plastic covering is now halfway to Denmark.

If the wind changes direction it will be back in his garden by sunrise.

Our carefully secured plastic covered super cloche - swmbo calls it a green house - decided it would shed its earthly bonds and make a bid for freedom on Sunday. We (the dogs) heard the clatter, so it was held fast, disconnected from the remaining tethers and fetched indoors for the night.
A fresh set of eyes in the light of a calm day yesterday has it more firmly secured and we await tonight and the next couple of days to see if picketing theory matches picketing practice.
