Great Scott, the arrangement of the village makes it look so big, as if the cobblestone streets actually go on for kilometers. Neptune Street a long-time favorite of mine, something to be admired as museum quality art, but not to be attempted. It's been a while since I've logged on and I seem to recall NS as being a fairly compact point to point, and now it is creeping about the walls. Is my impression correct?

Very kind comments Chops, thank you. The layout is actually a looped eight, round the shed (16ft x 8ft) twice for one circuit. I hope the image shows that, it’s difficult to get it all in. One day I will get round to drawing a track plan (I don’t think I can use any of the apps on an iPad).

A little diversion from building terraces; some time ago I promised myself I would get out some of the locos from a good few years (decades) ago. One half of the turntable roads have been isolated and the best (?) of those I have stabled. I’d like to think that heavy weathering may hide the fact that they are not as detailed as today’s models, perhaps not the Lima Class 37.
The steam engine second from the left is a Mainline Jubilee, ‘Neptune’, which for obvious reasons I’d like to convert this to DCC. However it is a split chassis and having watched a video on conversion, I’m not sure if it’s within my capability. The jury is out for this one.
A Sunday morning on shed.

Sorry Chops, I over egged the pudding there, the shed is 16ft by 8ft, but I forgot I donated 4ft to the Project Manager for garden stuff and more importantly a beer fridge. Over generous don’t you think
Anyway the layout is 12 x 8.

I suggest you mobilise your army and annex the 4' as soon as possible.

I would, but I wouldn’t much fancy the peace negotiations

So a very productive couple of hours;
A card mock up of the level crossing and footbridge, for size and location. I think you should get the idea.
There was a similar set up (crossing and footbridge) at Anlaby Road, Hull, before the concrete monstrosity of a flyover was built. There is a good picture, through the footbridge, in the Illustrated history of Hull’s railways.
