Well, I fired her up with a one amp controller, and she lit right up- literally- showering sparks and arcs from the grimy rails. That abated quite a bit after a few passes. The track will need to be fastened a bit, as it is somewhat beat up. Video to follow. It is 1 am here, time for the rack. No, not the medieval rack, a bed. As in sleep. Here in America we don't resort to such primitive punishments.

Mod Edit: Political commentary removed.

I don’t think they made buildings other than railway buildings.

track is much more secure than new track, as locator pins hold it very secure. clean with track rubber or plastic kitchen scourer. Also, reverse side of piece of hardboard. Well done for sorting it. You can get stations, 2 types, and massive one with canopy. I know not of any other buildings. You can get points, diamond crossing, buffers, as well.

Are they shops and houses or just railway buildings?

Thank you for that, I've followed Mr. Paisley for some time. His contributions to a living history of Hornby are enormous. Come to think of it, I've only seen lineside structures on his epic layout.

"Little Weldon" comes to mind, but then again, the few diecast structures are strictly lineside. Which leaves me to wonder where or what that I thought I saw. Well, never mind, I've track to secure and a longer baseboard to find.
