I used to be in that school of thought but HM7000 showed me the error of my ways with their plug in stay alives. I now fit them the every loco regardless of wheel arrangement - 72 and counting.

Me too. Even with loco and tender pickups, I still see stalling at initial start off, so it looks like another order for power banks once my rewards points mature and the next double points promotion pops up.
