Hi Mick, glad you got your problem sorted. As said earlier to get the best out of electrofrog points they need to be modified (instructions on the Peco packaging) where you remove the two link wires, solder the switch rails to the outside rails and feed the frog wire with appropriate polarity when changing direction. It could be the ones you've removed are faulty as Brian described earlier.

Thanks - don’t think I’ll use them again. I do lay track carefully and seem to get first time great results with insulfrog. Once painted and ballasted they seem to take on a decent appearance and the sprung clips almost disappear. This weekend I’ll see what happens when I remove the clips - just out of interest.

If possible, take a good close up photo of the points frog area on their undersides and post the image here (From vee end of point to roughly the middle) I would be interested to see what they are like underneath. :D
