If it is still the intention to use Jablite, try looking online at diy.com
9 various thicknesses and sizes are listed.
Then 'add to basket' a desired size. This will then prompt you to select a store. You then enter a postcode (either yours or a nearby town will do). This shows where locally it is in stock. I entered the NE38 code and it suggested a few to complete it. It listed 5 with it in stock, and the same that didn't.

Thanks Ian - I'll probably make a trip to Reading (about 25 mins) and have a look. Barry

What about Mod Rock, A friend of mine showed e some which had just arrived and it looked easy to use something like Plaster of Paris impregnated bandages. In the past I have always used old news papers and polycel to make scenic fields and banking but now days there are not so many papers around guess because people read news on line. I am going to try some Mod Rock. But not used it before.......John

Re: Hills and tunnels - best material.
I built my tunnels from layered polystyrene so i could have a lift off section in case of derailments etc.
Then covered them in Modroc, this gave a good hard finish that can be worked before it goes off, once it sets you can add more to give texture and finally paint it to suit rocks, scree or cliff face.
The joints of the lift off section can easily be hidden with bushes etc.

Thank you forfarian Thanks for that I have not used the stuff before and can see the point of using the foam making it easy to lift off. That is much better than how I used to do it. Thank you............John
