That’s not good Steve. Eyes are strange, both of mine had a problem one after the other.

Thank you chaps.
Since September I've been wondering if the other eye might join in the fun - little did I know it would be two months to the day!
I've just got back from Maidstone hospital and as I expected, I am being referred back to Opthalmology in the morning. I've been told to expect a call tomorrow. Hopefully they will find a slot for me as I know they only get 48hours to pin the retina back if it has detached.
Exactly the same symptoms as before, flashing lights, 'cobweb' clouding the vision, fuzzy when looking at bright lights, itchy and watery eye so I did the diagnosis for them - just my luck that department only works office hours.

Oh dear. Hope they can stick the retina back on?

If it's like the last one it will be spot welded back in place.

Steve,

I echo everyone’s sentiments and best wishes, hope everything goes well for you and you’re back to your high standard of modelling soon.

Back from hospital. It seems that the centre of the eye has snagged a couple of blood vessels and pulled the retina away. No tear but they've spot welded it back in place.
Can't see a damn thing now.
