Even tighter squeeze to the headshunts under the hill now the support for the end wall has been cut.
The Daler card has been cut for the shed base but needs some fettling. The area immediately outside the shed will be covered in some Redutex brick paper.
I also completed the droppers but managed to burn a finger and thumb due to lack of recent practice and that dodgy eye. Even managed to lie on the iron while crawling out from under the board.
Not safe to be left unsupervised.

Health things seem to build up as you get older. But I reckon you found a forgotten turn of speed when you laid on the iron. I know this because I dropped one in my lap while under the board while wearing shorts, of course.

Hope things start getting better, Steve. Will you be able to put the diff on OK?

I'll find out soon enough!
It's not a difficult job, just a bit unwieldy. The trick is to balance it on a trolley jack to roughly the right position then quickly get at least one nut on the mounting bolt while you line up the other two bolts, one of which is a foot long, passes through the diff and the chassis and is hidden behind a crossmember. :o

That looks a lot better Steve. I thought in the original picture of the shed on the layout, that the tracks were not central to the entrance doors.

They weren't. Those were the original tracks set for the old four lane shed.the spacing on the NER shed is much wider requiring a complete relaying of the track at that end of the board. And somehow I ended up with an extra lane.

Takes me back to fitting drive axles on Leylands and Albions.

Some ballasting this morning. Glue needs to dry before some airbrushing to tone down and weather the new chippings.

The ballast had dried out enough for the airbrush to come out to play. I have a tub full of small detail parts from the old shed and some fencing and bushes to add at some point.
The point motors still need connecting bug that will happen alongside building a new control panel.
