it's a nice loco, I purchased the late crest sound version not so long ago as I wanted to increase my GWR stock, have also added 2 Dapol Manor's, a Dapol large Prairie, Bachmann 94xx and a Rapido 15xx, all sound fitted which I am very pleased with.

I have pre ordered a sound Accurascale something something xx also, can't remember the Class.

Nice. I sold two J94's last year, complete with Zimo sound decoders, speakers and stay alive units.

A nice pair of 0-6-0's there, particulary like the colour on the Hornby J94 :)

Although I had decided against a City Class 4-4-0, one came up at well below the asking price of the previous few I had seen.

A ebay haggle later it was secured, and so I decided it also deserved some new coaches as the Mogul had commandeered the Clerestorys.

Unfortunately the loco had some issues, both running and cosmetic that I wasn't made aware of, but the seller was good enough to work with me to come to an amicable solution

Although its probably around 25 years prior to the period I am loosely basing my layout on, I just love its looks and so rule #1 applies 😝 For a little something different I got some period lined crimson GWR Toplights to go with it.

They are even shorter than I expected, a rake of 4 is around 20mm longer than 3 Collets, but they they look and feel top notch - I do know there are some underframe issues to rectify given the reviews, but you cant fault much else IMO.

There has been a large collection going through Clark’s Railworks over the past couple of weeks and I managed to snaffle a couple of Blue and Grey Royal Mail coaches and some Green Mk1 coaches, that I have wanted for some time to allow mixed sets ( Maroon, Cream and Brown etc) to run with my Diesel Hydraulics.

They arrived today and I must say they are in absolutely mint condition and wonderfully packaged by the fine team at Clark’s - at an average of £25 per coach I am well pleased

This could well be a boring post from me with it not being a loco but here is my latest purchase

The coach will be added into 1 of my Lima 117s although I am thinking of purchasing more from the seller I purcased this coach from so that I can possibly model 1 of my trains on something similar to what the Paignton to Dartmouth steam railway has done. They have a rake of coaches comprising mk1 and ex dmu ( possibly Class 117 ) coaches in the same formation. I rode on 1 of the ex dmu coaches once and even though it was my 1st time on a class 117 coach, I must admit it was a comfortable ride.
