Good morning all.
We departed Italy on the 3rd Feb on MSC Abidjan with a full load of containers. Our destination is Rotterdam.
Before that we will call in a London Container Port; which will be this afternoon.
Our journey was slow (12.5 knots) at times when we were in the Atlantic Ocean because of bad weather conditions. Fortunately the weather brightened up and we have picked up lost time.
In Rotterdam we will transfer to the MSC Nerissa.

Good afternoon all. A quick update.
We have left Rotterdam and heading Stateside (eventually). Soon we arrive in Antwerp; an attractive city to visit. Not this time though. Our time here is only three hours. Memories of our last visit to Antwerp are still fresh in our minds.
When we arrive in the U.S.A. we shall be meeting family for the first time. It will be a friendly visit lol.
My grandmother was a 'War Bride' (WW1 that is). Apparently she was not welcome by members of my grandfather's side of the family. A common theme then. Anyway, when my grandfather died my grandmother packed her bags and with her four children returned to the U.K. on RMS Aquitania.
We have been in correspondence with my family for a few years now. It will be good to see them in reality.

A quick update from the English Channel.
An interesting fact (imo) is that although not fully laden with containers we had our quota and departed Rotterdam early.
(This has allowed another ship to take our berth.)
Leaving Rotterdam early has not meant we can arrive at our next port (Antwerp) ahead of time. No. Our berth there is at present occupied by another ship.
Travelling in the English Channel at a speed of two? knots is a new experience to me. LOL.
We have to have space for more containers for when we arrive in Antwerp and then Le Havre. Leaving Le Havre we can then cross the Atlantic with a full load.

We have been in Antwerp all day.
Therefore Lady G has been buying some Belgian chocolate.
A happy crew. All twenty have a box each.
