They've updated their website since Oct last year, hence the broken link. Thanks for the update CC. Lots more content and guides there now.

I can recommend Hardy's figures. But I don't think they are too expensive - they used to do a random sample of ten figures for £20 but noticed today that this is one of the changes they have made - now its eight specific figures for £18. That's £2.25 each which, for their quality, is very good indeed.

Hi gentlemen, I was a bit surprised when I saw that my old thread had been reactivated, but the links look very useful, so thank you. WTD is certainly right about the writer liking women. I wonder what kinds of diarama he makes.
I have to confess that I didn't buy any extra figures, which I had been planning to use for my Champions of Europe scene on the layout. Instead, I depopulated the rest of the layout for the duration of the Victory Parade. That's why there was an unusually large number of railwaymen amongst the spectators. There are photos of this on my thread in Members Layouts, the Shankly and Gdynia Railway, probably somewhere around page 14 (more or less).
IMHO The very skinny Noch HO figures that I mentioned didn't look out of place with the OO figures, which vary in size themselves. The old fashioned clothes of the Dapol / Airfix OO figures were probably the worst thing about mixing the HO and OO figures.
Many thanks again everyone for your contributions,
Ian Alan

I was thinking of removing all my figures and trains and tell everyone I was modelling the Corvid 19 era

I know that you're only joking TDD, but I've already done that! See Post 143 onwards in Members Layouts - the Shankly and Gdynia Railway, page 15 or thereabouts.

Ha Ha, sorry Ian. I confess that I don't read every post on here, or indeed every thread so may have missed your post or, more likely, forgotten it 10 minutes later!
P.S. Didn't you publish a series of transport related books many years ago

I did assume that TWD - but some may not have known - some younger members may not even know who Ian Allan was? BB
