Came out better than I hoped. My next job is to try my hand at the Scalescenes canal boat. The worst I can do is muck it up.

Looks good Chops except the swing beam, the big bit across the top of the gate that sticks out the side of it, is supposed to be low enough to lean on with your back the push the gate open or closed, not high enough to walk under. The right gate is much too high.

Glad you like the Toll Booth!! Don't give up up on the canal. The beauty of the the download kits is you can print them over again until you get it right. Good luck.

Yes, the post, I realized too late, is a bit high. Fortunately, most Americans are clueless about that, but I recollect seeing something to the effect of a semi circular staircase to effect a transition to the beam.

The bridge to nowhere, just had to use it or toss it, it doesn’t attract too much attention to its self, and creates some ambience.

A lock always looks good on a model railway.

First attempt at cardstock canal boat armed with only blunt scissors and some Elmers. Came out better than hoped.

That looks really good. Nice narrow boat.

Card stock is a new medium for me, and is hardly present in the
American scene. This Scalescene stuff was surprisingly good to
work with, the real trick is cutting straight edges. A metal
straight edge and a grid table might get me even better results.

What many UK modelers have achieved in card stock is a wonderment,
astonishing results.

I have a couple of narrow boats I’d be willing to send you if you want them. A motor and a butty boat.
