That would probably do the job John.

I think to get an even and consistent bend I would make some kind of box that I could slide the ply into then fill it with steam from either a wallpaper stripper or a steam cleaner, once steamed it can be removed and formed to shape. It would ‘set’ as it cooled and dried - I think that’s how commercial operations handle it.

What about plastic corrugated flute board. It's light, can be joined with gaffer tape and bend through 90 degrees

That is another idea to put into the pot and think about. That post got pushed off the new post board even before I saw the answer. Most odd. Wonder how that happened. ..........John

Well it is now done. And it was very successful.

I have 3 mm MDF at 90º. I scored the MDF with a Stanley knife and then took away a millimetre along the score line with a chisel. I butchered a plastic A4 folder for the plastic sheet and it fits beautifully. A little smear of PVA and it was all done.
