Lots of 'Rule One' here as I've westernised my existing signals by adding a ball and spike to each post. It's OK provided I don't move the arms!!

Rule one is just great. And, if you hadn’t have said, I wouldn’t have noticed, look good to me.

The speed of your progress puts me to shame - note to self ‘don’t just stand there, do something’ :lol:

Get some track down and get something running. Once you do that things speed up. When I changed to O gauge I was running a loco within hours.
