Little Weldon

Hello
For those who may not know I have been building Little Weldon for almost eight years now.
Little Weldon is a fully scenic Hornby Dublo 3 rail layout measuring 11'4" x 5'10". It is housed in the Railway / Spare Room.
Hornby Dublo was manufactured by Meccano Limited in Liverpool from 1938 through to 1964, with a gap in production due to WWII.
My original idea was to try and create a layout that could have been possible to build during the late Fifties early Sixties. Wherever possible I have used accessories and techniques that were available during this period. Here and there a few contemporary items have appeared, I have tried to keep these to a minimum. However Weldon Castle and the Goods Yard Wall make extensive use of Linka and Scale Cast moulds.

Hi HD,
It's a very fine layout and, of course, I'm always happy to see a Spitfire. I can understand the attraction of only using 'period features', and the irresistible temptation to make the scenery as good as it can be. I think you've achieved a great result and hope to see more photos soon.

Hello
How about turning the clock back to the late 1950's / early 1960's. Some Black and White photo's of the Weldon's.
