sensor for blocks

I've been trying to find out when to have 2 sensors per block I know that you can but when and where can someone help. I see Chadwick has 2 one at the end of the block to stop over runs of locos in train controller is this correct for iTrain also, many thanks for your inputs.

I have been usingTraincontroller for over 15 years now, and have always only used one occupancy detector per block. As long as your locos are correctly profiled, there should not be a problem. I believe you can operate in the same way with iTrain.
