Static grass

Post by Antan1 »

Hi, anybody use anything else after applying static grass to increase durability?.
Tip, don't put your fingers in the applicator whilst it's turned on.

You could give it a quick blast of a cheap hairspray although I have found over the past 7 or 8 years of static grass use, that it's pretty tough if applied correctly in the first place. It's very easy to apply new layers if a patch gets damaged - layering spray is your friend.

Thanks, it was my my very first attempt and I'm quite pleased with the outcome. Only problem i found was the grass tended to turn into balls in the applicator hence putting my fingers in.

WWS do sell a 'deballer' but its just as easy to tip the contents into a small plastic container and break them up by hand. It's good practise to break up the fibres before starting - works for me any way.
