Popped down to Hornby Wonder Works, (the attraction formerly known as the Visitor Centre) to buy a couple more decoders. Took the opportunity to look round the new displays which are done to a very good standard and cover all the brands. They’ve moved away from the history side of the Hornby story (in line with many modern museums these days) and seem to be more focused on the promotion of the current ranges.
There are three working rail layouts, all controlled via the new HM7K system which seemed to be attracting quite some interest from the public who were able to use the system to control locos themselves.
I ended up coaching a couple of new users - I must invoice Hornby for my services.
