Patterns made simple

Post by Pannier Tank »

Here is a very simple, cheat, for adding patterns to figures clothes......Decals ;)

After paint has dried on skirt/dress or what ever item of clothing it is, apply gloss varnish. Decals will sit better on a gloss surface. The decals are then cut out and soaked in water (if they are the water slide type) and can be set down over any detail using one of the decal set or other decal coat products.

Once dried I applied a Matt varnish. I let this dry over night before I gave it a run of Reikland Flesh Shade which has a reddish/brown tint. This is very important because it blends the pattern in, always bare in mind the colours you choose and ensure you can do this blending.

Simples, which is just as well because I can only do simple.

John :)

I wish

It is possible to paint them but it would take hours and the chances of getting them all to look exactly the same is pretty remote!

Well be assured that your 'Simples' is very effective.
And the Lord said unto John “Come forth and receive eternal life”, but John came fifth and won a toaster!
