Hi guys , my name is Ray and I live in Amber Valley on the Nottinghamshire border. Since retiring I’ve been thinking about building a oo gauge model railway around our spare bedroom which is 11x 11 ft. I have read about and sampled DCC , but have decided to keep with analogue . I had a smaller dc layout a few years ago, and now I have the time to start again on a more permanent layout. At the moment I have a blank canvas but many ideas .

Hi Ray - Welcome to the forum. A great place with lots of help, information and fun. Just to put a spanner in the works  I started from scratch a few years ago, and went with DCC - never regretted it. BB

Welcome to the friendly forum. I decided on DCC when I began my layout and am glad I did. If you are buying locos for the first time then it is easier to consider DCC than if you have to chip a collection of locos.

Welcome Ray.

I too started a couple of years ago with DCC and found the challenge worthwhile.

Thanks for the welcome, and comments. I have used Dcc , but have a collection of analogue engines and have enjoyed using them in the past and don’t want to chip them up . I’ll let you know how I get on and undoubtedly throw in many questions on the way.
Thanks again for the welcome
