I feel as though I have lost my modelling mojo this week as it’s been a struggle to spend any real time in the shed - maybe it’s the cold and damp weather.
However, I have made some inroads into the roof trusses for the shed roof. I’ve made a very basic jig to keep the outside dimensions uniform and have mocked up one truss (not glued together yet) even though I ordered the wrong size I-beam and am waiting for fresh supplies to be delivered.
Once I know it all works it will serve to provide measurements for the various parts which will be cut in batches to give some uniformity.
The design is based loosely on an original NER design where the central square section is there to support the roof vents.
