This weekends GP is from the best circuit on the calendar, best for both drivers and spectators in my view and i have travelled to quite a few around the globe.
Agreed, but no spectators this weekend. I think that Sochi (Russia) will me the first to let anyone in. Portimao is hoping for 60,000! Not sure they have enough parking spaces for that lot.
Well we managed to get to Portugal and back without too much trouble - now in day three of quarantine. Almost disappointed that the 'rozzers' have yet to knock on my door to check I'm behaving myself.
A small selection of my photos for anyone interested.
Super pictures Steve - glad you had a good time. It was a good race - further down the field! As far as Lewis is concerned - well that's why he's number one - another ten laps and I reckon he would have lapped the whole field. Barry

I have still to catch up with the TV coverage!
It was a fantastic experience at a track I fell in love with when it first opened 12 years ago. So glad I got to see the record breaking win as well. Understandably we were limited in where we could wander off to - the police were very ‘enthusiastic’ at keeping spectators in their allotted seats and fully masked up.
It looks as though it won’t be on next year’s calendar although I suspect it will have ‘reserve’ status in the event of other tracks dropping out.
Must agree with BB that the pictures are super, watched the race on tv and thought Lewis was in trouble at the start but he was just looking after his tyres, he new that he would make up the places later in the race.
Must have been a great experience to be at the track.

It does not take me long to do five minutes work.
Nostalgia is not what it used to be.
Last year’s travel restrictions meant that I had to miss my usual spring trip to Barcelona for the first time in thirteen years.
Today F1 announced that this year’s test will now take place behind closed doors with no fan or media access. It seems that Bahrain have paid for exclusive rights for the ‘first’ test of the new cars.
Another kick in the nuts for fans.
