It was my tease - hence the wink. Looks heath robinson but served our railways. I'm guessing they have local power units these days.

As for "bell cranks" I thought that was Quasimodo!
All this new terminology to learn...and glad to see from Rogers post, he has a like struggle.
I frequently struggle to find things on the net just because I don't know the right term.
Conversely, sometimes I know the right word, search for images and seem to keep landing on the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders!
...give it a second... :-)

It's another world.
Still clearing junk from loft and found this. A later purchase being a 1992 copy, but much likely out of date.
I did most in the 1970's.
