DCC++ is the legacy version and whilst available is no longer supported. No idea why PM didn’t work I’ll try again. R-

Just spotted this, didn't see it on the website before, video says to be released 2011, so old.
https://uk.hornby.com/products/elink-ra ... ware-r8312?
The tech specs tell me it is 16cm long nothing else!
No mention of what extra hardware needed to achieve the lovely video operations.
Can't see any downloads to go with it.
I like the record facility with ability to edit/refine.
Had nice shunting operation but doesn't say how shunter slowed down just before hitting wagons.
How did it know they were inche away not feet.

Found this:

Have we seen the benefits yet of this investment, DCC has to be a key aspect.

Roger. Still no PM so I sent you a test message PM, that sometimes clear glitches on regular email.

Railmaster has been around many years and is well proven. There is a dedicated RM section on the Hornby forum where you will find any answers you may need, along with a free download valid for limited use (2 locos and a few points) for 90 days before it times out then you need to buy the licence. The download includes the full user manual.
You can use an Elite or an eLink as controllers or even use both - use one for locos and the other for accessory control.
Beware picking up a bargain as the licence is not transferable so once used it is worthless second hand. As a result you can pick up eLinks S/H for a few £s and buy the licence from within RM.

Edit - just to add that RM will run on a low spec PC and any version of Windows from XP to 11.

Thank-you RAF.
I hadn't spotted they had their own forum.
More googling and more reading to digest. ;-)

I'm just back from buying some 2nd hand peco track from local ebay seller.
My first purchase, so I guess I'm commited now.
