hi would anybody know what make of sound decoders are usually fitted to kato n scale. just purchased the above from hattons but no instruction sheets. asked hattons but they don't know. i'm just looking for functions and cv's

Have you tried reading CV8 on the programming track and obtain the decoder manufacturers ID number, then cross referencing that with the NMRA list? https://www.nmra.org/sites/default/file ... _2_2_5.pdf This, if its listed, will tell you the decoder manufacturer. :D :D

hi tried to do that on programming track with cv8. doesn't come up with any code that i can see. where am i going wrong

thanks. i seem to have it sorted now. a senior moment or as my granddaughter would say ' thick as two short planks'
