budget decoders

hi has anyone tried lais or hattons own decoders with either a hornby select or elite controller as i see on ebay ect they donot work as they are not compliant these controllers and will be using one the other on my layout thanks in advance bob

I use Hattons 8 pin decoders in 3 Hornby locos and they all work perfectly using the Elite controller. Also 1 Lais 6 pin decoder is ok.......HB
