Triang smoke unit

It won't fry the decoder if the decoder is well separated from the heat of the smoke unit :D

Are you going to use a 12 volt relay or just feed it direct from the Function outputs? I doubt there are many decoders with function outputs capable of powering an original Tri-ang smoke unit directly?

I’m not entirely sure on how I’m going to go about it
Gonna try a few ways out and see how it goes
Although I believe a relay will definitely be needed

The only reason I’m taking up this challenge is because all of my locos are either Dcc or live steam
And it would be a pity to not have another steamer on the rails so must do whatever is possible to get it to work
A little dingy , but I’ll get there :lol:

I have recently purchased a l-s loc Stephenson rocket
I have 4 hornby live steam locos and currently looking for a lutz b4 live steam loco as well
A little dingy , but I’ll get there :lol:
