Hi there,
Some years ago I bought the Bachmann 4Cep in BR green without yellow warning panels ( none of that sort of thing on my railway!)
It’s been packed away as the railway has been rebuilt but I got it out again today and have set it up with the vehicles in the correct order but with the TSK reversed as outlined in the Southern Electric Group review.
I have a NCE powerCab DCC system but am completely mystified how a lot of it works. I’ve got the head code box on the 4Cep to light up but how do I switch on the interior lights? Various sources in the web mention codes such as F1 F2 etc but the handset doesn’t have such numbers and the handbook is too confusing for my addled brain.
And is there an instruction site somewhere which will help me understand consist so that I can run two Hornby 2Bils together? Thanks
Bachmann 4Cep and DCC
Re: Bachmann 4Cep and DCC
F 1 just means function 1 so on your powercab use the no1. Some decoders use 0 for light functions, the powercab also has a headlight button.
Re: Bachmann 4Cep and DCC
F0 turns on the head code lights and F1 the interior ones. Make sure you have the two trailer coaches the right way round. If their interior lights come on with F0 then you need to reverse the coach. Some early models, including the first unit I bought, have one trailer coach wired back to front.
