Re: Could you build this in your shed
This layout featured in Hornby Magazine a month or so ago - very impressive. The owner went to an estate agent to see if he could rent an industrial unit in which to house the layout - he was told nothing available - but I do have a warehouse basement that is huge, but does need some work - so he took it, cleared it out, installed lighting and here we are.
The owner has been working on this layout full-time for five years! Must have deep pockets!
The guy doing the video, Luke Aps is a bit strange, but his "how to" videos are very good - no messing around - straight down to it.

I wonder how many towns/cities would have the sort of space required for this layout, readily available?

He said he was going to use closed down shops so should be OK.

I think it would have to be a "supermarket" - not sure many shops in Basingstoke are two hundred feet deep, never mind eighty feet wide.Walkingthedog wrote: ↑Thu Jul 16, 2020 11:08 am He said he was going to use closed down shops so should be OK.![]()

When our House of Fraser closes we’ll have room. You’d be surprised how many shops are that big when empty.
