Javis underlay: advices needed

Hello,
I'm planing to use Javis Underlay / Extra Fine Granite for the track underlay on my shunting layout. Before making any mistakes (I always do a lot of them), could you tell me the best way to use it ? Thanks.

Cut it a little wider than the sleeper ends or whatever width is need where multi tracks run. I would bond it to the baseboard with either neat PVA or Copydex style Latex adhesive. Apply a temporary load on top of the strip until glue has set. Here I would use some pieces of flat timber on top of the sheet, weighted by whatever is to hand - full paint tins, food cans etc anything heavy and has some weight in it to keep the sheet firmly down along its length while glue sets.
