I suppose its because as I see it there are two basic types of modeller, those who want it to be a true scale replica with everything including sounds as accurate as possible and then what I call the heritage railway modeller who like me will run anything they have regardless of era or prototype, etc including if it makes a noise its close enough. There are obviously other modelling folk who fit between these two gates.
