Good to see some more older stuff being used.

There are clips on the bottom of the operating lever, that locate a Magnet.

Possibly a length of that flexible magnetic strip may work.

The original operating metal rails were simply single rails from the approx. 6 inch straight track. Super 4 type.

Not magnetic, the magnet on the operating lever ...
