I've fitted an AED-P22D.6 Plux22 6 function decoder to a Bachmann Class 31.
The only funtions that appear to be available are 0. Directional lights.
If I press F6 for say high intensity light I get nothing.
Is this the limitation of this particular decoder or is there something I can do to access ...

Sound/Deluxe, what is the difference
Have just received a Bachmann C37, 37423 Grey Metals. I thought I had ordered the "Sound Fitted" but it turns out I actually bought the "Sound Deluxe" version.
Is my first sound diesel and it really is the cats pajamas so no problem there.
But for future reference, what is the difference, what ...

Re: Runaway locomotives
An update, the issue is resolved. The problem appears to be that I inserted the decoders upside down.

Re: Runaway locomotives
Have installed the new decoders to the locomotives. They both light up momentarily the short out causing the powercab to turn off.
The circumstances are as follows:
-I saw both locomotives operating correctly under DC control with blanking plates fitted.
-When I got the locos home took out the ...

Re: Runaway locomotives
Hi Phil, I am going to order a couple of 21 pin decoders to test this possibility. Come to think of it, I have had q loco that has misbehaved randomly until decoder replacement.
After that, not sure what I'll do as I don't want to throw good money after bad!

Re: Runaway locomotives
I have tried reprogramming the decoder cvs for by using a running road to programme.
The wheels simply went a million rpm and then eventually cut out altogether.
I now have 2 inoperable powers cars for both DCC and DC with the blanking plates. I fear motor burnout?
Nightmare.
Any ideas welcome.

Yes, programming track is a single length of peco code 100 flexi track.
How do I force programming mode?
