Re: Aliborough O Gauge

Nice scene Brian. Takes me back to the late '40s whilst on way to Primary school I'd walk past the parcels depot at Finchley Central station and occasionally watch the Scarabs maneuvering so easily in a very small yard.

Re: Slide out section positive track alignment.

Rob, these door catches might help to keep the sides tight. Just using the rollers front and back of each section should keep alignment and fill the gaps.

Re: Wykeham - Somewhere in the south!

Hi Barry, that's an impressive bit of kit. I wondered, do you have the programming track permanently connected to the Elite? I find it such a faff having to change the wires at the back of the Elite each time for programming purposes.

Re: Stay alive capacitor- wiring

Having given further thought I realise you cannot connect to the Purple wire because that is controlled by a decoder Function. The negative connection from the Stay Alive has to connect to the negative side of the Bridge Rectifier.

Re: Stay alive capacitor- wiring

The Blue wire from the decoder is a common positive return for all functions. The Purple wire is probably a flying lead with a negative polarity so if you connect your multimeter leads positive to the Blue wire and negative to the Purple wire you should get proof of circuit.

Re: Moving house

Great progress, Rob, but it's going to get a bit nippy in there if you don't insulate that garage door.
